【Abstract】 Holy mountains are spiritual creation and symbols for Tibetans inhabiting the Qinghai-Tibet plateau.As far as geographical location and cultural influence are concerned,holy mountains are divided into holy mountains of the world religions,holy mountains of the regional ethnic groups,holy mountains of the tribal societies and soul mountains of each individual.The worship for holy mountains in all areas and the protection of these mountains as forbidden areas,historically speaking,have strengthened the unity of different ethnic groups.Moreover,worshipping activities have endowed the holy mountains with the great harmony between natural landscapes and cultural landscapes,which carries aesthetic value,and have preserved the eco-environment.Holy mountains towering on Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are the spiritual sustenance of human society and the symbols of harmony between man and nature.更多还原
