【Abstract】 Scientific visitor management is effective in bridging the contradiction between utilization and preservation of world cultural heritage sites. A periodic visitor survey carried out to examine the experiences, requirements, and relevant information of visitors in a timely manner should be a prerequisite and basis for the development of any visitor management plan. By introducing the visitor investigation activities at the Mogao Grottoes, this paper evaluates the significance of scientific, standardized, and routine visitor observation for improving visitor management at cultural heritage sites.更多还原
