【Abstract】 Lawrence Durrell has been renowned as a significant writer in the twentieth century British literature.Studies on Durrell in foreign countries enjoy a history of more than fifty years.This article tries to scan this scholarship on Durrell from various analytical approaches such as psychoanalysis,archetypal criticism,colonial and postcolonial interpretations.It argues that international scholarship on Durrell has ignored the"ensemble characteristics"of Durrell’s writing and failed to introduce an ethical literary analysis in Durrell studies.更多还原
