【Abstract】 Firstly this paper puts forward the concept of Nominal Anaphora by connecting the concept of both Phoricity and Discourse Semantics.Then,based on the Textual Metafunction proposed by Matthiessen,it explores the textual metafunctions of Nominal Anaphora by adopting some examples,and finds out that Nominal Anaphora:(1) has non-referential text constructing function;(2) facilitates the in-depth and polynary coherence of texts;and(3) reflects the dynamics of the text construction.更多还原
