【Abstract】 The Secretary of State for Health,in exercise of powers conferred by section 126 of the National Health Service Act 1977 and section 21 of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990,and with the consent of the Treasury,makes the Regulations: The National Health Service(Clinical Negligence Scheme) Regulations 1996(1996 No.251).The Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts(CNST) was established by the Regulations.The Administrator may provide funds to make payments permitted under Regulation 9 in a sum not exceeding a Total Payment in respect of any CNST Claim."NHSLA" means the Special Health Authority established pursuant to the National Health Service Litigation Authority(Establishment and Constitution) Order 1995 by the Secretary of State under the title National Health Service Litigation Authority,to administer the CNST.The NHSLA handles medical negligence claims and works to improve risk management practices in the NHS.更多还原
