【Abstract】 Objective: To determine the basic skills of the medical equipment maintenance engineer should possess. Methods: The knowledge which a medical equipment maintenance engineer needs includes physics, chemistry, optics, machine, microelectronics, computer technology, meterage, instrumentation and so on. Results: All these knowledge depends on maintenance practice. The article states the basic skills which the maintenance engineer must grasp.
