【摘要】 古代汉语成分的省略主要包含主语、谓语、宾语和介词的省略,但有时状语或其他成分也可能被省略。中国典籍英译实践中关于省略成分翻译的实证分析表明,相应的省略翻译可以视为最基本的准则,而适当的补充和灵活的转译也十分必要。由于省略成分翻译的质量关系到译文能否最大限度地再现原作的风貌,典籍省略成分的汉英翻译既要讲究原则性又要讲究灵活性。更多还原

【Abstract】 Ellipsis in Ancient Chinese mainly include the omission of the subject,the predicate,the object and prepositions while sometimes adverbial modifiers and other parts of speech may be omitted as well.Empirical analysis of the Chinese-Englsih translation of elliptical sentences in Ancient Chinese Classics indicates that relevant translation of ellipsis can be adopted as an fundamental principle but appropriate supplement and flexible transfer are also extremely necessary.As the quality of ellipsis translating depends heavily on whether the translated version can,to a large extent,reproduce the original styles and features of the source text,a good combination of principle and flexibility is expected in the C-E translation of such ellipsis.更多还原
