【Abstract】 Taking the General Theory of Verbal Humor as its theoretical framework,this paper aims to investigate the features of Chinese humorous texts focusing on a systematic analysis of Fortress Besieged with its Chinese-English bilingual parallel corpus.It hopes to contribute to the advance of our knowledge in interpreting humorous texts by providing theoretical and practical evidences.Tentative findings show that Chinese humorous texts have some distinct features in the surface and deep parameters which reflect three maxims in the interpretation of Chinese humorous texts: Sincerity Maxim,Similarity Maxim and Congruity Maxim.更多还原
