【摘要】 上海公共租界工部局公众图书馆(文中简称工部局公众图书馆)作为上海租界市政府董事会重要咨议机构,是民国特殊历史时期各种类型图书馆中颇有代表性的图书馆之一。文章从梳理民国史实入手,详实地呈现了工部局公众图书馆的组织结构和人员构成、规章制度、经费来源与分配、馆藏情况及读者服务项目等堪称当时较为先进性的图书馆管理举措,并将其与民国时期上海地区较有影响的新亚图书馆等五大图书馆进行横向比较,考证了上海工部局公众图书馆从一座私立性质的图书馆逐步演进为具有公共意义上的公众图书馆的演变经历以及革新过程。更多还原

【Abstract】 Shanghai Municipal Council Public Library as the important consulting institute of Shanghai Municipal Council directorate is one of the fairly representative libraries among the various kinds of the libraries in special age of Republic of China.Starting from hackling the historical facts of Republic of China,this paper details the organization,staff,regularities,outlay sourcing and distribution,library collection and reader service and so on which were regarded as rather advanced library management measures,meanwhile it also compares those measures with the influencing Xinya Library and other four ones of the same time in Shanghai,and verifies the evolutionary progress of Shanghai Municipal Council Public Library from a private library to a public library.更多还原
