Basic computer is a compulsory public basic courses for all professional students in the universities,and the textbook is the basic material conditions to ensure the quality of teaching.This article presented the preparation guiding ideology of the textbook New Concept Tutorials of Modern Computer Technology,the main contents and characteristics;and described the experience and harvest in compiling teaching materials.
