南海北部BY1钻孔沉积物元素地球化学特征及其古环境意义
Element geochemistry of Core BY1 from the northern South China Sea and its paleoenvironmental implication
【摘要】 南海北部BY1钻孔沉积物主、微量元素地球化学分析结果表明,CaCO3含量呈现间冰期高、冰期低的稀释旋回,而SiO2、Al2O3、Fe2O3、MgO、K2O、TiO2等含量变化与CaCO3相反。沉积物中大多数主、微量元素的Ti标准化值变化与有孔虫氧同位素揭示的冰期—间冰期旋回有良好的对应关系,呈现间冰期高、冰期低的变化特征,反映了间冰期物源区化学风化增强,指示了温暖、湿润的气候环境,表明间冰期东亚季风夏季风的增强。
【Abstract】 Sediment of Core BY1 from the northern South China Sea was measured for its major and minor element compositions.The results show that CaCO3 content follows the "Atlantic cyclicities" pattern: lower during glacial stages and higher during interglacial stages,whereas the variations of SiO2,Al2O3,Fe2O3,MgO,K2O,TiO2 are reversed.Ti-normalized ratios of most elements are higher during interglacials and lower during glacials,reflecting stronger chemical weathering in interglacials than in glacials and warm and wet climate in the source area.This may be the result of an enhanced East Asian summer monsoon.
