【摘要】 美国哥伦比亚大学历史系已故教授理查德·霍夫施塔特的史学观念与其丰富的编纂实践相得益彰。他在史学认识上倾向于"当下性原则"和"重写论"的史学主张,并以彰显"反讽的共识"为主旨的政治文化史为研究范式,借此强化历史学的人文主义特性;在方法论原则上强调"视角论"与"史学史"的研究路数,以深化对历史重大问题的探究;在编纂实践中以理解和接受为理论预设,采取"叙述-分析的综合型"来描述和分析政治意识形态。上述认识论和方法论的提出及其在"反讽的共识"范式中的应用,是他对美国进步主义学派历史学家的一种反抗,也是对二战后美国"社会科学的"历史学的批判性反思,更是对历史学学科性质和社会功能的深度思考,以及对未来历史编纂趋势的一种展望。更多还原

【Abstract】 Richard Hofstadter, deceased professor of Faculty of History of Columbia University had his historiography ideas and rich compiling practice complement each other. His epistemology and methodology shows the protest of historians of Progressive School and critical introspection of American "social and scientific" historiography after World War II. It is also an in-depth reflection of the nature of discipline and social function of historiography and outlook of the future trend of historical compilation.更多还原
