【Abstract】 Chuck Palahniuk’s 1999 novel,Survivor,presents a dialogue between different views on death.While the author seemingly attaches the same importance to different views in terms of the number of words,the various "countdown" employed in the narration reveals his preference for Heidegger’s death view.In the meantime,to mitigate the pessimistic flavor of such a death view,the author introduces "fertility" and "art" into the dying process.Consequently,"being-towards-death"overtops other death views in an unfair dialogue.更多还原
