【Abstract】 "FEELS" is an acronym from five English words to represent five aspects of successful education,namely "Flexible-goals","Engaged-learner","Embodied-knowledge","Lively-interactive-learning" and "Supportive-teacher"."FEELS" is mainly based on the following three theoretical foundations:(1) process thought and cosmology based on Alfred North Whitehead’s organic philosophy,(2) William E.Doll,Jr.’s post-modern perspective on curriculum,which includes his experiential epistemology and his "4R’s" criteria on evaluating post-modern curriculum,and(3) Hongyu Wang’s curricular autobiography with her ideas on the "dancing" curriculum in "third space".As a concept,"FEELS" shares the meaning of the English word "feels",referring to human "feelings",and caring about individual’s personal experience and feelings in educational events from the perspective of Whitehead’s process philosophy.Based on Whitehead’s cosmology,it can even be understood as the very essence or nature of the universe: that is,there exist feelings in each and every event,time and place in the universe."FEELS" may be used as an analytic tool for understanding and evaluating successful education,with the fundamental assumption that the very purpose of education is to help a person become all-round.更多还原
