Correlation between plasma levels of renin, angiotensin Ⅱ and aldosterone and preeclampsia
【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the relationship between the plasma levels of renin(PRA),angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ) and aldosterone(Ald) and preeclampsia during pregnancy. Methods 27preeclampsia patients(case group),51healthy pregnant women and 35healthy non-pregnant women were randomly selected as control groups.Plasma levels of PRA,Ang Ⅱ and Ald were detected and compared between different groups. Results The plasma Ang Ⅱ level was significantly higher in case group than that in healthy pregnant women, while the plasma PRA and Ald levels were significantly lower(P<0.05).The plasma Ang Ⅱ level in case group was also significantly higher than that in healthy non-pregnant women(P<0.05).Conclusion The changing plasma levels of PRA,Ang Ⅱ and Ald in preeclampsia patients might be related to their involvements in the pathophysiology of preeclampsia.
