W.B.Yeats was introduced into China as early as in 1920's,but there had been few serious studies on him except for scattered pieces of translated works and introductory articles until 1980's,when he was re-introduced gradually by increasingly formal scholarly works in various aspects as well as more and more translations.Nevertheless,there are still not very many studies of deep understanding due to scanty knowledge of Yeats the man,his work and background.
