热致相分离法UHMWPE/HDPE微孔膜的制备及性能
Preparation and Properties of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene/High Density Polyethylene Microporous Membrane via Thermal Induced Phase Separation
【摘要】 采用热致相分离法,以超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)/高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)为基体,液体石蜡(LP)为溶剂,制备得到UHMWPE/HDPE微孔膜。HDPE的加入不仅降低了体系的黏度,也同时减缓了体系结晶速度。冷却速率对微孔形态有重要影响,尤其是以较低降温速率冷却时,HDPE的加入改变了微孔形态,并使孔径变大。研究表明,采用合适的配比及工艺条件,可以制备平均孔径约1μm、孔径均匀的UHMWPE/HDPE微孔膜;UHMWPE/HDPE微孔膜在135℃闭孔,在160℃薄膜依然保持原来形状而不塌缩,可见其应用于锂离子电池隔膜时耐热性能优于PP、PE隔膜及其复合膜。
【Abstract】 A thermally induced phase separation method was adopted to prepare high molecular weight polyethylene/high density polyethylene(UHMWPE/HDPE) microporous membranes.The blend of UHMWPE and HDPE was used as polymer matrix and liquid paraffin as solvent.The addition of HDPE reduced the viscosity.The morphology of membrane was greatly affected by the cooling rate.Especially at a low cooling rate,the addition of HDPE could change the morphology of membrane and get larger pores.It is shown that the UHMWPE/HDPE membrane with pores in an uniform distribution and about 1μm can be prepared under optimal conditions.The UHMWPE/HDPE membranes is able to shut-down at 135 ℃,but do not melt-down at 160 ℃,which is a better heat-resistance property than membranes fabricated from PP,PE and their multilayer composites.It is predicted that UHMWPE/HDPE membrane could make the lithium-ion battery safer when it is used as a separator.
