【摘要】 The insulation coordination for converter stations in ±800 kV UHVDC projects is one of the key problems to be solved,and it is critical for the design,type selection,manufacture and test of converter station equipments.To specify the insulation levels of converter station equipments in Xiluodu-Zhexi ±800 kV UHVDC project reasonably and to ensure the future work of this UHVDC project can be done smoothly,the insulation coordination of the rectifier side of Xiluodu converter station is studied based on the insulation coordination methods for UHVDC converter station.The configuration scheme of arresters installed in Xiluodu converter station is proposed,and the protective functions for each arrester are analyzed in detail.Then,the arrester parameters and protection levels are calculated.After analyzing the characteristics of UHVDC converter valve,and with reference to experience of the existing UHVDC projects’ operation,this paper suggests that the insulation margins of switching,lightning and steep front impulse for converter valve should be 10%,10%,15%.Finally,based on the recommended insulation margins and relevant standards,the insulation levels of the converter station is specified: the lightning and switching impulse insulation levels of AC switchyard are 1 550 kV and 1 175 kV,respectively,and for DC bus are 1 950 kV and 1 600 kV,respectively.
