CeO2改性阴极扩散层对DMFC性能的影响

【摘要】 在常规的阴极扩散层中引入CeO2纳米粒子,通过扫描电镜(SEM)、接触角测试等表征了该扩散层的形貌、元素组成、亲水/疏水性。采用CeO2掺杂的扩散层组装了直接甲醇燃料电池(DMFC)单体电池并进行了性能测试,结果表明,与传统的阴极扩散层相比,该单体电池以2倍化学计量比空气进料,150 mA/cm2电流密度下,放电电压提高了24%。电池极化分析结果表明,该电池性能的改善可能是在低化学计量比空气进料条件下CeO2纳米粒子改善了氧的传质行为。

【Abstract】 A novel cathode gas diffusion layer(GDL) modified with CeO2 was prepared in this work.The effects of the modified GDL on the performance of the direct methanol fuel cell(DMFC) were investigated by SEM,contact angle characterization,and single cell performance test.The results show that the cell voltage(150 mA/cm2) of the DMFC with the novel cathode GDL improves by 24%,under the air feeding rate of 2 stoichiometric ratio,compared to that of the DMFC with a conventional GDL.Oxygen gain analysis also confirms that the introduction of CeO2 improves the oxygen transfer in the cathode GDL,and the improvement is more significant when fuel cells work at higher temperatures and lower feeding rates of air.
