【Abstract】 E.M.Forster’s representative work Howards End shows striking historical representation.From the view of new historicism,this paper analyzed the characters and some suggestive details in the text to find out the underlying historical phenomena and philosophical implication.It concluded that the text is a production of historical context,and it is not simply the reflection of it but also participates in shaping the history.更多还原
