【Abstract】 Through the investigation and research conducted in some of typical vegetable wholesale markets and retail terminals in Beijing in 2011,the data analysis shows that the wholesale price of vegetables is closely related to the wholesale quantity and it is inappropriate to simply discuss the issue of excessive wholesale-retail price spread for vegetables;the retail price of vegetables in Beijing has nothing to do with the number of circulation links of the "Last Mile",but has something to do with the type of retail terminals, and market rent is not a principal factor for price increase;the pricing method to take the package into account has directly forced up the price rise of secondary wholesalers, which causes the "Last Mile" problem for vegetables in Beijing;both secondary wholesalers and retailers in farmer’s market earn their profits within a reasonable range, with no abnormal profits.
