To develop students' ability to use English in listening and speaking is the core of the objective of College English.Online English news reports are necessary to be applied to college English classrooms as supplementary teaching materials,which,in fact,is an effective way of developing students' ability in listening and speaking.Based on the Constructionism Learning Theory,the paper discusses how to make choice of news reports on the Internet and what steps to take when they are used as teaching materials.
