【Abstract】 Visiting Yili a hundred years ago,several foreigners(Ladd Loftus,Materhan and Riyeqiang) left their notes and diaries which can make us gain some understanding economy and trade,as well as the city construction,transportation,education,folk,ethnic relations and so on from the other side of the frontier defense situation in Yili at that time.What they saw and heard are limited,but these can make up for the lack of related works and carelessness.Review of the history of Yili one hundred years ago helps us know more about Yili,inspires us to build a better confidence to the future.更多还原
