【Abstract】 The relationship between pinhole defect formation reason of gray iron castings and surface tension of the iron melt was introduced. It was considered that the higher the surface tension, the more difficult the pinhole formation. The measuring method of the surface tension was described and the measures to prevent pinhole defect by enhancing the surface tension were proposed.更多还原
