【Abstract】 This paper studies the causes of the barriers to intercultural communication by employing the independent/interdependent self-construal theory proposed in psychology.The analysis of cases shows that different self-construals affect intercultural communication.The lack of a good understanding of self-construal tends to have negative impacts,resulting in egocentrism and idolatry,which,in turn,cause barriers to and conflicts of intercultural communication.更多还原
