【Abstract】 Polyquaternium-1 is a new kind of quaternary ammonium polymer belonging to non-oxidizing biocide,with high disinfection efficiency and low toxicity.It has been already used commercially in the disinfecting solutions for contact lens and in the artificial tear products as preservative.Research advances of polyquaternuim-1 are reviewed in this paper regarding its synthesis methods,antimicrobial mechanisms and applications as preservative in ophthalmic preparations.The application prospect of polyquaternium-1 is also included.更多还原
