【Abstract】 In the way of renovating the Basic Training Department of College of Architecture and Urban Planning,Tongji University,(originally the Energy Department Building,now called as Mansion D),the architects assigned four design strategies such as responding to the environment,organizing the space by events,compositing the function and reducing the volume,showing their understanding of the site and environment well around Mansion D.
