基于FPGA的IDE硬盘接口控制器的设计
The Design of IDE Interface Hard Disk Controller Based on FPGA
【摘要】 硬盘广泛应用于大容量数据采集系统,实现数据的存储。为了实现CPU对硬盘的控制,本文利用FPGA(现场可编程门阵列)设计了IDE(集成驱动电子设备)硬盘接口控制器,利用此控制器,CPU可以直接访问硬盘,实现PIO模式和Ultra DMA模式下数据的传输。设计采用VHDL(超高速硬件描述语言)实现,在FPGA开发板上验证。
【Abstract】 Hard disk is widely used in large data acquisition system to save the data.In order to realize the accessing from CPU to Hard disk,we design the IDE(Integrated Drive Electronics) Hard disk interface controller utilizing FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array).With the controller,the CPU can control the hard disk directly and realize the data communication in PIO mode and Ultra DMA mode.The design is realized in VHDL(Very-High-Speed Hardware Description Language) and verified with FPGA developing board.
