【摘要】 目的:介绍Ricketts的手工制作VTO的方法,并对其可靠性进行论证。方法:结合临床病例,介绍手工制作VTO的4个主要步骤;选用30例病例,配对t检验比较预测结果与治疗结果的差异。结果:VTO与治疗前描迹图上5个区域的重叠显示出了在正常生长发育和治疗过程中颌骨、牙齿和软组织发生的改变。在95%的可信限内,VTO 7项颌骨指标全部与矫治后一致,达100%。关于上下切牙的5项指标中有2项一致,占40%。结论:该预测方法有一定的可靠性,是指导正畸医生优化矫治设计和预测矫治效果的有效手段。更多还原

【Abstract】 Objective: To introduce Ricketts’ manual methods of doing a VTO and verify its reliability.Methods: The four major steps of the VTO were illustrated by using a clinical case as an example.The post-treatment cephalograms of 30 patients were compared with the VTO prediction tracing with paired t tests.Results: The five areas of superimposition which were presented could be used to evaluate the amount and direction of change in normal growth and the change that occured as a result of treatment.There were 16 cephalometric measurements: 7 were skeletal,5 were dental,and 4 were soft tissue.All(100%) skeletal measurements were not significantly different,while only 40% of the dental and 75% of the soft tissue items were not significantly different.Conclusion: The results indicate that the VTO is a reliable and an effective guide for the orthodontists to optimize treatment planning and predict treatment results.更多还原
