【Abstract】 Literature of any nation is the result of joint efforts.We can see that Najib Mahafuz inherited the national literary tradition throughout all his works in his every period.It is impossible to strip the Egyptianness from his body.Mahafuz walked to the world with his unique national characteristic,but the feature had been baptized by the extra-territorial culture(especially the western literature).Najib Mahafuz underwent several stages such as inheriting tradition,using the West for reference,returning to tradition and walking to the world in dealing with cultural traditions and influence of western culture’s relationship.In this process,Mahafuz reflected his spirit of exploration and awareness of innovation.更多还原
