【Abstract】 The theories of Eugene A.Nida,father of modern translation theory,have great influence on translation,especially his theory of the functional equivalence.Nida’s theories experienced three phases of development.The essence of functional equivalence is reflected on three aspects: readers’ response theory;the unity of meaning and style;the social function of linguistic notations.The acceptability of machine translation should be considered from three aspects: the equivalence of information;the acceptability of translation text and the post-editing.更多还原
