环境风垂直切变对0908号台风“莫拉克”影响的分析
Effects of Environmental Vertical Wind Shear on Typhoon Morakot (0908)
【摘要】 利用多种卫星观测资料和NCEP/NCAR提供的风场资料等,分析环境风垂直切变对0908号台风"莫拉克"的强度、对流和降水结构的影响。结果表明:环境风垂直切变不是影响"莫拉克"强度变化的直接因素。"莫拉克"登陆前,在较强环境风垂直切变作用下,最大对流和降水区域均位于顺切变方向左侧,降水呈一阶非对称分布。"莫拉克"登陆后,在较弱环境风垂直切变作用下,最大对流区域出现在顺切变方向右侧距台风中心较远处。
【Abstract】 The satellite observation data from various sources and the wind field data from NCEP/NCAR are used to analyze effects of environmental vertical wind shear on intensity, convection and precipitation structures of Typhoon Morakot (0908). It is shown in the results that environmental wind vertical shear is not a direct acting factor for Morakot’s intensity variability. Before the Morakot’s landfall, the strongest convection and precipitation area is located to the left of the down-shear direction and the precipitation has a first order asymmetric distribution under the action of the strong wind shear. After the Morakot’s landfall, the strongest convection area is to the right of the down-shear and further away from the Morakot’s center under the action of the weak wind shear.
