【摘要】 研究了Tm掺杂硅酸盐玻璃的热稳定性、1.8μm荧光性质。测试了玻璃样品的特征温度、吸收光谱和荧光光谱;根据吸收光谱,计算并讨论了玻璃样品的吸收和发射截面、Judd–Ofelt参数、辐射跃迁几率和辐射寿命等光谱参量。计算得出Tm3+:3F4→3H6能级跃迁的辐射寿命达到5.62 ms,受激发射截面和辐射寿命的乘积σem×τR达到(21.4×10–21 cm2?ms)。在800 nm激光二极管抽运下,观察到明显的1.8μm发光峰。摩尔分数为1.0%Tm2O3掺杂下,发光峰强度最高。这些结果表明,Tm3+掺杂的硅酸盐玻璃是一种合适的2.0μm激光玻璃材料。

【Abstract】 The thermal stability and 1.8 μm emission properties of Tm3+-doped silicate glasses were investigated.The characteristic temperature,absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra of the glasses were measured.Based on the measured absorption spectra,absorption and emission cross-sections,Judd-Ofelt parameters and radiative properties were calculated and discussed.Radiative life-time of Tm3+:3F4→3H6 transition was calculated to be 5.62 ms and the high gain around 1.8 μm was predicted by the large σem × τR product(21.4 × 10–21 cm2?ms).Emission near 1.8 μm was observed by the excitation of 800 nm laser diode and the maximum emission intensity at 1.8 μm was obtained at 1.0%(mole fraction,the same below) Tm2O3 in the glasses.The results obtained indicate that the Tm3+-doped silicate glass can be a promising 2.0 μm laser glass material.
