【Abstract】 Product quality of supply chain partners can influence product demand,thereby affecting the execution of traditional contracts,such as return policy and options.Therefore,it is important to study contracts that can help supply chain partners coordinate and collaborate with each other in a complex business environment.The proposed game model takes into consideration the sensitivity of market demand to product quality.In the game model,companies using the option contract tend to choose products with high quality and companies using the return contract tend to choose products with low quality in order to increase their revenue.This proposed model considers the combined effect of return policy andoption contract.Built upon this game model,contracts designed for the centralized supply chain are as effective as contracts for the decentralized supply chain.This proposed model helps achieve supply chain coordination.The first part of this paper proposed a game model to improve supply chain coordination based on Barnes-Schuster and Coachon’s study.The proposed model considered both option contract and return policy.The second part discussed how our proposed model can solve complex contracts,involving return policy and option contracts.The model was able to improve supply chain coordination with respect to price,quantity and quality.The third part demonstrated that under the assumption of linear quality-demand function supply chains can be coordinated to deliver both option contract and return policy.Centralized supply chains can deliver more coordination benefits in product price,quantity and quality than decentralized supply chains.In summary,a composite contract with option contract and return policy can achieve supply chain coordination when product quality can affect market demand.Our proposed model is a composite contract that can meet the requirements of Nash Equilibrium and help the entire supply chain maximize revenues through effective price,order quantity and quality decisions.更多还原
