力学写制多个π相移长周期光纤光栅的光学特性研究
Investigation on transmission spectra of mechanically-induced multiple π-phase-shifted LPFG
【摘要】 利用两个相同且交替放置的周期性相移锯齿槽对单模光纤(SMF)施力,形成了基于机械微弯力学效应的多个π相移长周期光纤光栅(π-PS-LPFG)。实验研究了压力和π相移个数对光栅光谱的影响。结果表明,在1420~1440nm、1475~1500nm和1536~15709nm的波长范围内相移光栅光谱分别呈现出带通特性,阻带出现在通带两侧;相移光栅光谱的凹谷深度由压力确定,LP12模的最大损耗峰值可达-30dB;两损耗峰间的间距取决于π相移个数。本文方法操作简单,容易控制,使π-PS-LPFG的制作更加灵活。
【Abstract】 The mechanically-induced phase-shifted long period fiber grating(PS-LPFG) is formed by pressing a single mode fiber from double sides with two identical periodically phase-shifted grooved plates.The influence of pressure applied on the fiber and the number Nof the π phase-shifts on the transmission spectrum of the PS-LPFG is investigated experimentally.The results show that the depth of the notch of the PS-LPFG can be determined by adjusting the pressure,and a peak transmission loss of-30 dB for LP12 mode has been achieved.And the separation between the two loss-peaks depends on the number Nof the π phase-shifts.The proposed method is simple and easy to control,which makes the fabrication of PS-LPFGs more flexible.
