采用铁基催化剂在V型热解火焰中合成碳纳米管的实验研究
Experimental Research on the Synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes from V-Type Pyrolysis Flame Using Iron-Based Catalysts
【摘要】 催化剂的选取对于V型热解火焰合成碳纳米管具有重要的影响。实验中分别采用五羰基铁、二茂铁、纳米铁粉等作为催化剂,取样时间为10 min,温度约为1150 K,催化剂的引入方式为喷雾热解方法,利用扫描电镜和透射电镜对合成的碳纳米管进行形态和结构表征分析。实验结果表明:利用V型热解火焰合成碳纳米管时的关键物质是纳米氧化铁颗粒。采用五羰基铁作为催化剂可以合成缺陷和杂质相对较少的碳纳米管,采用二茂铁只能得到碳黑,采用纳米铁粉作为催化剂可以合成缺陷及杂质较多的碳纳米管和碳纳米纤维。
【Abstract】 Catalyst plays an important role in the synthesis of carbon nanotubes from the V-type pyrolysis flame.Pentacarbonyl iron,ferrocene and iron nano-powder were employed as catalyst respectively in the experiments.The sampling time is within 10 minutes and the temperature is about 1150 K.Spray pyrolysis method is used to introduce catalyst into the V-type pyrolysis flame burner. Scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope were used for the morphology and structural characterization of carbon nanotubes.Experimental results show that the key matter in the synthesis of carbon nanotubes from the V-type pyrolysis flame is ferric oxide nano-particle. Carbon nanotubes with less impurities and defects can be successfully synthesized from the V-shaped pyrolysis flame when the pentacarbonyl iron acted as catalyst.Carbon blacks or soot can be found in the synthesis of carbon nanotubes when the ferrocene was as the catalyst.Carbon nanotubes and nanofibers with much impurities and defects can be seen from the images when the iron nano-powder was served as the catalyst.
