【Abstract】 American author William Faulkner’s novel Absalom,Absalom! centers on the theme of the American Southern females’ revolt against a patriarchic society in the early 20th century.Rosa Coldfield,a representative of them,has never taken the road paved beforehand for women by the patriarchic society.She imitates the way the male speak and demonstrates the social characteristics of her opposite gender.Her words and deeds form a subversive power in the so-called rational society,through which to challenge the American Southern patriarchic society.From the perspective of feminism,the paper analyzes Rosa’s reverse narratives and emotional experiences,expounds Rose’s social gender and sheds light on the underlying reasons for her eccentric behaviors,perverse disposition and tragic life.更多还原
