添加剂对电解液及钒电池性能的影响
Effects of additives on electrolytes and the performance of vanadium battery
【摘要】 利用结晶实验和单体电池实验,考察了5种全钒氧化还原液流电池电解液添加剂的性能。尿素、草酸铵和乙二醇可抑制三价钒离子的结晶,降低电解液浓度的下降速率;硫酸镁和硫酸钠没有抑制结晶的作用;乙二醇的加入会降低电池的效率与容量。尿素和草酸铵的加入对电池性能的影响很小。使用2%尿素和草酸铵添加剂的单体电池,在60 mA/cm2的电流密度下,测试初期的电压效率超过85%,电流效率超过98%。
【Abstract】 5 kinds of additives for all-vanadium redox flow battery were investigated by crystallization experiment and single-cell experiment.Urea,ammonium oxalate and ethylene glycol inhibited the crystallization of the trivalent vanadium ions,reduced the decreasing rate of the electrolyte concentration.Magnesium sulfate and sodium sulfate had no effects to inhibit the crystallization of the trivalent vanadium ions.Ethylene glycol reduced the efficiency and discharge capacity of the battery.Urea and ammonium oxalate slightly reduced the efficiency of the battery.The voltage efficiency and coulombic efficiency of the battery which used urea and ammonium oxalate as negative additives exceeded 85% and 98% respectively under the current density of 60 mA/cm2.
