基于SOA-FWM的全光逻辑与门码型效应的抑制方法
The method for depressing pattern effect of all-optical logic AND gate based on four-wave mixing (FWM) of SOA
【摘要】 全光逻辑门是光信号处理中的关键功能,半导体光放大器(SOA)因为具备体积小、工作波长范围宽、响应时间短及良好的非线性特性等优点,十分适合用来实现全光逻辑功能.利用SOA中的非线性效应(包括四波混频、交叉增益调制)实现了多种的全光逻辑门,如"与"、"或非"等.但是仿真结果表明,全光逻辑与门存在比较严重的码型效应,特别是输入信号中出现连"0"或连"1"的时候.码型效应是制约其性能的一个重要因素,所以通过让SOA始终工作在饱和状态,提出了一种抑制基于SOA-FWM的逻辑与门码型效应的方法.
【Abstract】 The optical logic gate is an important part of optical signal processing,and semiconductor optical amplifiers(SOAs) have many advantages such as small size,wide bandwidth and low response time,which make them a strong candidate to realize all-optical logic gates.Many kinds of All-optical logic gate,such as AND and NOR gate,have be realized using non-linear effect(including four-wave mixing and cross-gain modulation) of SOA.But simulation results show that serious pattern effect exists in All-optical logic AND gate,especially when there is continuous "0" and "1" in the input signal.Pattern effect is an important factor of weakening the performance of All-optical logic gate,so the paper proposes a method of depressing the pattern effect in logic AND based on FWM of SOA by making SOA work in saturation state all the time.
