【Abstract】 Idioms are the result of the frequent and contract-making usage of particular expressions,demonstrating qualities which shared by most linguistic units.As agglutilnative units in sentences,idioms are grammatically,semantically and pragmatically equivalent to words,which,together with their semantic mataphor,explains the reason why human language can be so productive,effective and selective.A literal translation with qutoation marks is recommended.更多还原
