【Abstract】 That the cardiac work is a function of the end-diastolic volume(EDV),the Frank-Starling law of the heart(FSLH),does not contain parameter of the end-systolic volume(ESV),which has the same physiological significance as the EDV.No parameter of the ESV in the FSLH,focusing on the EDV(the starting point of the ventricular wall movement during the contraction) without taking into account the subsequent its changes in the contraction,by which we would be uncertain about the stroke volume(V,viz.the EDV minus the ESV),nor be able to calculate the stroke work(W).In this case,according to the principles of doing work mentioned by the FSLH,there is no functional relation between the W and EDV.The FSLH failed to express the heart working as an objective law.Therefore,the FSLH is not a law.更多还原
