基于特征保持和二次误差测度的网格简化
Mesh simplification based on feature preserving and quadric error metrics
【摘要】 目的解决目前网格简化算法不能很好地保持原始网格几何特征的问题。方法基于二次误差测度简化算法,在计算折叠代价时引入网格模型顶点的绝对曲率,同时采用半边折叠操作。结果提出的算法能够有效地达到特征保持的目的,减少了简化过程中模型的存贮量。结论将顶点的绝对曲率概念引入二次误差计算,在保持简化误差的同时,能够更好地保留网格模型的几何特征。分割和并行化处理将是今后需要解决的问题。
【Abstract】 Aim To solve the problem of the feature loss during the current mesh simplification algorithms. Meth-ods Based on quadric error metric,introduce the absolute curvature of vertex into the calculation of the price of edge collapse,as well as adopt the half-edge collapse. Results The proposed algorithm can preserve the features of the original model well and efficiently reduce the storage consume. Conclusion The proposed algorithm can preserve geometric features of the original mesh while maintaining the simplification error.
