Study on the Impact of CD4~+CD25~+ Regulatory T Cells on the Progression of Hepatitis C Virus Infection
【Abstract】 Objective:To investigate the expression of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells in patients with hepatitis C and its relationship with progression of disease. Methods:Technique of flow cytometry was used to detect peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells of 69 patients with Hepatitis C and 23 controls. Results:The percentage of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells was significantly higher in patients with hepatitis C than those in healthy controls(P<0.01).The chronic hepatitis C group had a higher percentage of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells than that of asymptomatic carrier(P<0.05)and the group of patients with liver cirrhosis had a higher percentage of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells than that of chronic hepatitis C group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells levels are correlated with the progression of HCV infection.
