试论人名地名英译之基本原则——以三种“差不多先生传”英译本为例
The Cardinal Principles of the Translations about the Names of People and Places——Three Different English Versions of Mr. Cha Buduo as Examples
【摘要】 以三种"差不多先生传"英译本为例,本文提出了人名地名翻译必须遵从按其相应音标标注和顾及特定时代背景两个基本原则,进而探讨了此种原则的重要性及可能产生的影响。
【Abstract】 With three different English versions of Mr.Cha Buduo as examples,This paper puts forward two cardinal principles,which are on the translations of the names of people and places,and furthermore discusses the importance of the two principles and the possible influence.
