【摘要】 近代新加坡华人基督教的发展与新加坡华人社会的独特性息息相关。新加坡华人社会严重的烟、赌恶习是影响华人教会发展的重要因素。然而教会立场坚定地反对烟、赌恶习,反使原已信誉受损的基督教逐渐树立起良好的形象。移民的流动性是影响新加坡华人教会发展的另一独特因素。在华人传统礼俗方面,新加坡华人社会与华人教会均能作出相应的调整,从而缓和了双方的矛盾。而新加坡华人私会党对华人的控制与威慑,则是20世纪以前阻碍华人教会拓展的又一要因。更多还原

【Abstract】 The development of Singapore Chinese Christianity was bound up with the particularity of Singapore Chinese society closely.The abuse of opium and gambling were important factors which affected the development of Chinese Church.However,Chinese Christianity firmly opposed the abuse of opium and gambling,which made the Christianity slowly put up good image.To a certain extent,the high liquidity of immigrants also exerted influence upon its progress.In the aspect of traditional custom,both Singapore Chinese society and Chinese church make adjustment to relieve contradiction of both sides.The control of Singapore Chinese secret societies was anotherfactorwhich hindered the development of Chinese Christianity.更多还原
