【Abstract】 Hemingway and Gellhorn spent their honeymoon in war-time China but Hemingway also worked as a spy for American government.Hemingway conveyed two key messages to American government: first,if America sent money to China,then China would tie up the Japanese at least until the end of 1943;second,Chiang KaiSheck was the man to ensure that China remained in the war.Hemingway also conveyed the idea very clearly to Chiang Kai-shek that America was not interested in supporting Chiang to start a civil war in China.更多还原
