【Abstract】 Morphological observations on the skull of Siniperca kneri Garman were made. Results suggested that the skull of S. kneri contains 134 pieces of os osseum and 3 pieces of cartilage,including 38 pieces of os osseum in the Neurocran-ium,96 pieces of os os-seum and 3 pieces of cartilage in the Splanchnocranium. We also discussed the adaptability of the skull of S. kneri’s structure to its physiological functions. A comparison of the skulls between S. kneri and Lateolabrax japonicus was also made. It is discovered that S. kneri and L. japonicus are similar in many aspects,but there are obvious differences between them in other aspects.更多还原
