【Abstract】 With the development of computer science and Internet,paperless web-based tests have been adopted by some international major tests.China held its first web-based Band 4 College English Test in 2008,which undoubtedly caused a significant influence on the way of assessment.And it is predictable that the students who have never taken a web-based test will have difficulty adapting themselves to such tests.However,many colleges still neglect the advantages and necessity of paperless web-based tests.Through a comparison between the two types of tests taken by about 4000 students,it is found that web-based tests have obvious advantages in terms of saving energy,efficency,quality,ect.更多还原
