Gothic Elements in the Portrait of a Lady
【摘要】 As a literary master,Henry James employes various writing techniques in creation The Portrait of A Lady which is famous for "his international theme",while we still can feel Henry James’s appreciation of Gothic elements.This essay is to explore the gothic elements in this novel and tries to analyze what function it has in help developing the story.
