JPEG 2000中一种EBCOT并行体系的研究
A Parallel Coder for EBCOT in JPEG 2000
【摘要】 EBCOT是JPEG 2000系统中占运算时间最多的一部分。为了提高JPEG 2000的编码效率,文章提出了一种基于编码通道独立和条带独立的并行EBCOT编码体系。通过一次扫描,实现3个编码通道的并行编码,每个编码通道调用一组MQ编码器。同时,选择"条带-因果"模式消除条带间的关联性。这样,3个通道就可以并行编码而不互相干扰,大大提高了编码速度。每个编码通道结束时终止MQ编码器,错误不会传递到其他编码通道,增强了容错性。实验表明,此方法在保持JPEG 2000优异性能的基础上,提高了JPEG 2000的编码效率。
【Abstract】 EBCOT costs most operation time in JPEG 2000 systems.To improve the efficiency of JPEG 2000,a new method based on pass-parallel and stripe-parallel is proposed here.This method realizes parallel code for three channels,one MQ-coder employed in each coding channel.The correlation of all channels is eliminated by "stripe" and "Cause-effect"mode,thus three channels can code in parallel without interfere each other and coding speed will accelerate also.Furthermore,MQ-coder is terminated on each coding pass,which strengths the ability of error resilience.This method could improve the coding efficiency greatly while keeping the excellent performance of JPEG 2000 in measure process.
